How the worth-it score is calculated
The score (0–100) uses only public data from each course's Udemy page. No paid placements, no affiliate influence.
1. Adjusted rating — up to 50 points
A 4.9 from 20 reviews is less reliable than a 4.7 from 50,000. We blend each rating with a prior of 4.4 weighted as 500 reviews: adjusted = (rating × reviews + 4.4 × 500) / (reviews + 500). Points = (adjusted − 3.8) × 50, clamped to 0–50 (so 4.8+ earns the full 50).
2. Review volume — up to 25 points
log10(reviews) / 5 × 25, capped at 25 (100,000 reviews earns the maximum).
3. Freshness — up to 25 points
Months since the "last updated" date: ≤6 → 25, ≤12 → 18, ≤24 → 10, older → 3.

Data and limits
Courses come from the popular-course lists of Udemy topic pages. Each course is re-checked every few days and a daily snapshot is kept, which builds the history table on each course page. Prices are not shown because Udemy prices vary by country, account and promotion. Video length is the total listed on the course page.
